Issue with Accessing Protected Files in Diode App

Hello

I have encountered an issue while trying to operate protected files within the Diode App (ddrive). When attempting to open or modify a protected file, the app refuses access, even though the protection settings are correctly configured. The file shows as “locked” in the app interface, and I’m unable to bypass this protection despite having the correct credentials. :upside_down_face:

I’ve checked the app’s permission settings and reinstalled the app to rule out installation-related issues. The issue persists across multiple devices, and I’ve noticed that the problem occurs only with certain file types (e.g., PDFs and encrypted folders), while other files open without a problem. Checked Diode App (ddrive) - Diode selenium guide for reference .

Could anyone provide guidance on troubleshooting this issue? Specifically, I’m wondering if there’s a setting or configuration I may have overlooked, or if this is a known bug that needs a patch.

Thank you ! :slightly_smiling_face:

Hey @gojawor - when you say “protected files” can you be more specific or share a video / exact repro steps?

We do know of an intermittent issue surrounding Web Link passwords. Maybe that is what you mean?

The other potentially related issue is related to images/files in direct messages or private chats on mobile devices. We know of a couple of rendering-related bugs in that area.

Can you clarify!?
